Dr. Daphny Ainslie

 
 

Dr. Ainslie completed her postdoctoral fellowship at the Central Texas Veterans Health Care System where she treated Veterans who struggled with substance use, posttraumatic stress disorder, childhood traumas, depression, anxiety, chronic pain, and medical problems. Before starting her fellowship, she completed an American Psychological Association (APA) approved internship at the Central Texas Veterans Health Care System where she worked in the Primary Care/Behavioral Medicine clinic, Posttraumatic Stress Disorder Clinic, and the Mental Health Clinic. She completed her doctorate from the APA Accredited program at Our Lady of the Lake University and obtained a Masters of Education in Counseling degree at the University of Texas at Austin. She also attended the University of Texas at Austin as an undergraduate where she obtained her Bachelors degree in Psychology. 

Her current research interests involve Psychological Assessment and Forensic Evaluation, Psychological Trauma, Immigration, Multicultural Issues, and Attachment. In addition to forensic, clinical, and research work, she is active in the American Psychological Association Divisions for Law and Psychology, Psychoanalysis, Psychology of Women, and Trauma. She is also a member of the Texas Psychological Association and the Capital Area Psychological Association.
